How do I get my squeeze page on my web site?
How do I get my squeeze page on my web site?
Solution
Basically you have 2 options when you get to Step 10-Finalize, the last step of your squeeze page.
1)
You can choose to have the squeeze page stand alone (ie: not be linked to any other webpage or website). This is an option for some people who may not have their own domain name or website. What you would do in this case, is you would use the URL that is assigned by the system.
This is found in the lower of the two text boxes. As an example, here is one:
http://www.yoursqueezepage2.com/displayPage.php?id=5880
.
You will notice that at the end of the address there is a unique ID number, in the case of the example listed above the ID number is
"id=5880"
. Each page that you create (even in the same account) will be assigned a unique ID number.
You would then publicize, or advertize this link. This link is is hosted by us. If you want people to view your squeeze page, you would direct them to the URL (like the example above-
http://www.yoursqueezepage2.com/displayPage.php?id=5880
).
2)
If you have a website (or domain name) and you would like to use that address for your squeeze page, then what you would do is:
1. Copy all the text in the first (larger) text box, by highlighting it and right clicking to select Copy. Here is an example:
<html>
<head><title>Sign Up and Learn More!</title></head>
<frameset rows="100%,*" border="0">
<frame src="http://www.yoursqueezepage2.com/displayPage.php?id=6052" frameborder="0">
<frame frameborder="0" noresize></frameset>
</html>
2. Open Notepad (usually located in the Accessories folder on your computer) and paste in the copied text.
3. Click File, then Save As, and in the dropdown selection for the text type, change the text type to All files.
4.Then save the file but ensure that you save it as an
html file
, for example:
mysqueezepage.
html
This is the file that you would then upload to wherever you want on your server . If you have your own server, or your own hosting space, than you should be able to use your normal protocol or procedure to upload the file to your desired folder.
Then, when you access that file through an internet browser, you will be able to view the squeeze page.
This allows you to give out the address as
http://www.mysqueezepage.com
rather than the automatic one generated by the system, like
http://www.yoursqueezepage2.com/displayPage.php?id=5880
.
